This Privacy Policy explains how Plant Doctor ("we", "our", "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address or phone number (whichever you sign up with), and, if you sign in with Google, your name and email address from your Google account. We also store your selected role (customer or nursery) and display name.
Plant photos and analysis data. Photos you take or upload of plants, planting spaces, or farm plots are sent to our AI provider for analysis (see Section 3) and are stored in our cloud database, linked to your account, so you can view your plant history and care reminders.
Location data. With your permission, we access your device's approximate or precise location to: (a) suggest plants suited to your local climate, (b) generate daily farming/gardening tips relevant to your area, and (c) auto-fill your region in the Farm Advisor tool. Location is used to generate a place name (e.g. "city, region, country") and is not stored on our servers — it is used only for the specific request being made and cached temporarily on your own device.
Chat messages. If you use the "Ask about this plant/plan" chat feature, your messages (text, voice recordings, or photos/videos you attach) are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. Chat history is stored locally on your device only — we do not store your chat conversations on our servers.
Voice recordings. If you send a voice message in chat, the recording is processed to generate a response and is not permanently stored by us beyond what's needed to complete that request.
Usage and device data. We may collect basic technical information such as app version and device type to diagnose crashes and improve reliability.

We retain your account information and plant records for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual plants at any time in the app. To request full account deletion and erasure of your associated data, contact us at the email below — we will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Plant Doctor is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
